Hidden Songlines was composed as my own personal acknowledgement to Country where I live, on Gadigal land. The song uses the Gadigal word 'Nura' which is thought to convey the vast idea of Country. The lyrics are reflected from the perspective of Country, of the land, sky and sea. The piece also reflects upon the idea that under our modern city streets lie ancient travelling and trading routes of indigenous Songlines used for thousands of years by our First Nations people. 
 
The piece is suitable for intermediate-advanced choirs.
