A four movement work based on the ancient elements of air, fire, water and earth, and all they reperesent in the human spirit. The piece uses the words of the elements from the Gadigal language. It is a difficult piece full of interesting techniques and tone colour effects, ideal for advanced choirs. The Elements was the winner of The Australian Voices: Young Composer Award (2001) and was premiered by the choir in Brisbane, Australia, conducted by Stephen Leek.
