An evocative concertino style piece for intermediate string ensemble with a more advanced solo or small group violin part. Inspired by the beautiful walk and climb to the top of Pigeon House Mountain (Dittol) on the south coast of New South Wales, Australia. With sounds and imagery of Australian bird calls, stunning sandstone escarpments and a climb to the top of the mountain where blue skies and views abound in all directions.
